The gem appears included when observed with a 10x lens: the evidence of lead-glass filling treatment is clearly visible. The medium and pleasant color tone and good saturation adequately compensate for the quality of the original rough. Not perfect proportions: the gem develops mainly on the table, sacrificing the depth of the pavilion; however, this does not dramatically influence the return of light.
Gem of African origin (Madagascar), interesting for its purple-hued color and for its cut. Its overall pleasant appearance makes it suitable for being mounted in silver, in multi-gem compositions.
