The gem appears included when observed with a 10x lens: the evidence of lead-glass filling treatment and the growth planes and traces of the inclusions called "silk" are clearly visible. The medium-tone purple-red color and high saturation compensate for the quality of the original rough. Pleasant translucency effect. Not precise proportions: the gem develops mainly in length and this gives it a flattened appearance.

Gem of African origin (Madagascar), interesting for its transparency and its color with purple-red shades. Its overall pleasant appearance makes it suitable for being mounted in silver.
