Pastel blue sapphire, very delicate. Good transparency when observed with a 10x lens; some veil that in jargon is called "silk"
Pure corundum, or aluminum oxide, is a completely colorless mineral. The presence of elements foreign to its chemistry give it its color; hence the name of the variety (sapphire for blue and ruby for red). The sapphire presented has a pastel blue color, with a slightly milky effect caused by the "silk" inclusions.
