"Illusion" Ring with Ruby and Transparent Topaz Cabochon

In this ring I played with the optical properties of two stones, set in opposite tables in contact with each other. The top stone is a transparent cabochon topaz, the bottom one is a ruby, both stones are synthetic (meaning they are a REAL ruby ​​and a REAL topaz grown in a laboratory, not colored glass).

the ruby ​​is hidden or magnified by the topaz, depending on the angle from which the ring is observed. under the sun the fluorescence of the ruby ​​is certainly evident when it is observed perpendicularly, the "WOW!" effect is guaranteed :D

I called it "Illusion" because from some angles you can see a reflection of the ruby ​​in the inner walls of the topaz, like an illusion in the desert, as if the color were suspended inside the stone, rather than coming from the one below.
